Day 1 : Srinagar Arrival and sightseeing


On arrival you are met at Srinagar airport & transferred to your Houseboat on the famous Dal Lake.

Later  sightseeing covering the Mughal Gardens, Chashmi-e Shahi (The Royal Spring), Nishat (The Garden of pleasure) & Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). Follow this up with a Shikara ride on the mesmeric  Dal L

Dinner and overnight Houseboat.

(Meals are basic, homely food at the Houseboat. In case you have any preference you can check with the Cook. A stay in a Houseboat is an experience. Please do not expect standards of a Hotel)

 

Day 2: Srinagar- Pahalgham (100 kms /4 hrs)


After breakfast transfer by car to the picturesque valley of Pahalgam ( 7000 feet above sea level) On arrival check-in to the hotel.

 After lunch.. time free at leisure.Evening you can walk around this beautiful valley of shepherds which is surrounded on all sides by the awe inspiring mighty Himalayas.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 3: Pahalgham sightseeing


After breakfast day at leisure.

You may go for walks or pony ride along the Lidder river or to one of the many beautiful spots around Pahalgam.

In case you wish to visit Betaab valley/Chandanwari/Aru / Baisaran please inform your driver. He will assist you in hiring a local taxi. These are actually very scenic points and have been the locales for numerous film shootings.

Return to Hotel.

Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 4 : Pahalgham /Gulmarg ( 148 kms/ 5 hrs )


After breakfast transfer to Gulmarg (8000 feet above sea level) also known as the Meadow of flowers.

The slopes of Gulmarg make it Asia`s only heli-skiing resort. On arrival check-in at the hotel. 

Relax and enjoy this beautiful destination and overnite Gulmarg

 

Day 5 :  Gulmarg


Morning leisurely breakfast

Morning enjoy a Gondola ride (cable car) to Kangdori/Alpatar (at your own cost). Gulmarg has Asia`s highest and longest cable car. Its a two-stage ropeway. The first stage transfers from Gulmarg to Kangdori Station. The second stage takes skiers to a height of 3,747 m (12,293 ft). The timing of the Gondola is 10 AM to 5 PM (It`s highly dependent upon the weather at both stages).

Return in the afternoon to enjoy pony rides and walking around the area or visit Khilanmarg (a picnic spot nearby) a fragrant valley, full of color and charm). Vehicles cannot be used within Gulmarg.

Dinner & overnight at hotel.

 

Day 6 : Gulmarg /Srinagar (56 Kms 1 / 1/2 hrs ).


After breakfast leave for Srinagar. Check into your Hotel.

Day free to enjoy the Resort and visit the local markets. Spend time at the Boulevard.

Dinner & overnight at the Hotel.

 

Day 7 : Srinagar- Sonmarg (85 kms – 3 1/2 hours – 8500 feet)


After breakfast optional visit to Sonmarg ( The meadow of Gold ). 

Enroute see the famous Sind stream. Catch the glimpse of the mighty  Thajiwas glaciers.

Lunch is on own. Normally you return by afternoon.

Evening visit Hazratbal/Jama Masjid and free for souvenier shopping.

Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

 

Day 8 : Srinagar Departure

Breakfast at the Hotel . Time for last moment shopping

Transfer to Srinagar airport for return flight. Being a military airport please be at the airport early as there are 2 stages of security check & it takes time.. Generally on the return flight hand baggage is not allowed.
