Day – 01 – Arrival and Transfer to Darjeeling ( 3 hours drive )
On arrival you are met and transferred to Darjeeling , the Queen of Hillstations with its breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens and spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks.
Checkin to hotel and evening at leisure to stroll around the Mall road
Overnight Darjeeling
Day – 02 - Darjeeling Local Sight Seeing (Half Day)
Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather)
On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop
Return to hotel for breakfast & half hour leisure to rest.Leave for a half day sight seeing tour covering Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda
Return to hotel and evening free at leisure
Overnight Darjeeling
Day - 03 Mirik Excursion ( Full day, 60 kms -2 hours drive )
Today after an early breakfast leave for Mirik through scenic roads with occasional stoppage for photography - Mirik is centered round Sumendu Lake and is known for its landscaped gardens, tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom groves and spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges
Full day excursion of Mirik Lake (Horse riding & boating facilities are available around the lake) This high altitude lake is worth visiting
On the way back visit Pashupati Market in Nepal border
Return to Darjeeling and evening at leisure
Overnight Darjeeling
Day – 04 - Transfer to Pelling ( 120 kms- 4 hours drive)
After an early breakfast you are transferred to Pelling via Jorethang
Check in to the hotel – Pelling is situated at an altitude of 2072 meters / 6800 feet . On a clear day it offers a fantastic clear view of the Himalayan ranges with the snow capped Mt Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinolchu etc
Its botanical and zoological richness is inspiring and the scenic view from the top of the ridge across deep valley to the heights of Kanchendzonga ranges is something to be seen to be believed - Yuksom, Ravangla, Rinchenpong and Namchi are some of the closeby tourist places of interest.
Evening free to stroll around this small settlement
Overnight Pelling
Day - 05 - Pelling Local sightseeing (Full Day)
After breakfast you leave for a full day sightseeing covering the Rimbi water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake, it is one of the holy Buddhist lake and it is believed that any wish in front of the lake comes true - Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird and thus the water surface is always free of leaves, Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga water Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse ruins, the scenic view from the top of the ruin to the mystic heights of Kanchendzonga ranges is something to be cherished
Return to hotel and evening free to stroll around the helipad or the small town
Overnight Pelling
Day – 06 – Transfer to Gangtok ( 130 kms - 4 hours drive)
Today after breakfast you are transferred to the enchating capital of Sikkim ie Gangtok. Sikkim is one of the most visited states in India and has something for all ages. Its the land of monasteries, rituals, festivals and for the adventure seeking has plenty to offer.
Checkin to hotel and evening free to stroll around MG Road
Overnight Gangtok
Day 07 Gangtok to Lachung ( 7 hours drive)
Today morning drive to Lachung at an altitude of 8075 feet in North Sikkim.
On the way visit Singhik, Seven Sister Water Falls, Chungthang Confluence and VIm Nala Water Falls
Lunch at a local restaurant on way and checkin to hotel on arrival
Overnight Lachung.
Day 08 Lachung to Yumthang Valley Excursion ( 25 kms ie 2 hours one way )
Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley at an altitude of 11925 feet , an Alpine flower valley in North Sikkim.
Enjoy the scenic landscape and hot springs and drive back to Lachung for lunch.
Evening free to visit the village and river valley
Overnight Lachung.
Day 09 Lachung to Gangtok - 5 hours drive
Today after breakfast checkout from Lachung and drive to Gangtok and reach hotel by late afternoon
Later local sightseeing covering Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Tashi View Point, etc
Return to hotel and evening free to roam around M G Road
Overnight Gangtok
Day - 10 - Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Full Day)
Today morning after an early breakfast at hotel leave for an Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir ( New ) nearly 40 kilometers
The Tsomgo Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep and is generally covered in snow for most of the year the year . The lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds.
Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all
Nathu La Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is optional tour for which permits are required much in advance. The permits are restricted.
Return to Gangtok and evening at leisure
Overnight Gangtok
Day – 11 - Departure – Gangtok to Bagdogra Airport ( 135 kms- 5 hours drive)
Today morning after breakfast you are transferred to Bagdogra airport for your onward journey
